Making Life Changes
Life is full of miserableness, loneliness, unhappiness and suffering, and it's all over too quickly.
-Woody Allen
Unfortunately, Woody Allen's words are reality for much
of the human race. We all have the same 24/7 and possess the power
of will that enables us to accomplish anything. However, as if in
a coma, we pursue the toys and ploys of the outer world, believing
they will fill the inner void and bring us the happiness we so desperately
desire. Our conscious self is not deceived by our
antics in the least!
The yearning to know our true nature persists in spite of our outward
behavior. It may surface subtly at times, and at other times, it
is as though we have been struck by a cosmic 2x4. Life is clipping
right along and BAM—the unexpected occurs. At what
point do you get it? When do you finally realize that something
has to change? What will it take to wake you up and make
positive life changes, moving from numbed out to feeling life, from
wavering uncertainty and indecisiveness to commitment, or from victim-mentality
and self-pity to accountability?
Of this, we can be certain, it will happen! It
might come at your dearest friend’s memorial service, or after
the doctor’s diagnosis following your medical exam. Possibly
the pain of financial struggle will be the impetus for change, or
another failed relationship.
Whatever it is, you can embrace it as a positive opportunity for
growth, and if you choose to take the challenge and stretch yourself
to greater heights than ever before imagined, you will discover
it isn’t as difficult or intimidating as you might have believed.
The Attitude Doc is on call to help you
remember your truth, and to help you transform into the beautiful
butterfly of your being, quickly and effectively.
The Steps to Making Life Changes
- The desire for change always comes first. If you are happy with
the way things are, obviously, you don’t yearn for change,
but most of us would like to shift in one area or another and
the process is the same for each of them. It begins with a yearning
for something more authentic in our lives.
- Following the true desire for change and authenticity, you become
more receptive to explore your beliefs—the foundation of
your perception and the filters through which you view the world.
- Once you have seen the source of your despair, your willingness
to pursue the dissolution of your resistance will intensify, and
rather than ignoring, stuffing and denying your feelings you will
recognize them as your allies.
- Next, you can learn to reprogram your cellular structure to
a reality you prefer to live with today. You will discover how
to swap old, destructive beliefs, for fresh supportive beliefs.
- Finally, you can begin to create consciously the tomorrows you
dream of living.
Using your inner wisdom to guide
your every thought, word and deed will accelerate you to elevated
levels of joy you deserve to experience. Once you embrace balancing
the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of your life,
a new holistic life style will serve you in countless ways.
The unexamined life is not worth living.
